The correlation between Moonshine, fast cars and the North Georgia mountains has long been the subject of legend. The Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville has a temporary exhibit entitled, “Moonshine Runners.” Hard times lead to hard liquor. It’s a unique part of Georgia culture spawning the birth of NASCAR. Almost 90 years after their assembly, these growling Fords still stir the imagination. We had a chance to motor around Bartow County in a Ford to be taken very seriously.
