This exhibition showcases everything from a 1925 Model T to a 1973 Ford Bronco. DESCRIPTION:Sports car designs in the 1960s were inspirational – especially to individuals who were motivated to create something new.  While magazine articles showed how to do this\, few people stepped up to the plate – and for good reason. The challenge was bringing together a set of skills which included expertise in design\, fabrication\, engineering and drivetrain power. And while this list of skills in just one person is quite rare\, you had to add the element of “perseverance to finish the job” to the list too. \nThis forum on March 22\, 2025\, at 2:00 pm\, explores both the individual sports car designs and company-created models produced in the 1960s. It also reviews the challenges of building your own car with the added element of creating something uniquely your own. Forum speakers bring to the table expertise in history\, engineering\, fabrication\, restoration and design inspiration around these handcrafted cars. \nTicket Information – Tickets will be available at the door. \nMembers – Complimentary \nGeneral Public – Included with museum admission.

SUMMARY:New Exhibit Opening - Stunning Studebakers
DESCRIPTION:Join us on April 1\, 2025\, for the opening of our newest temporary exhibit\, Stunning Studebakers. \nBeginning as manufacturers of wagons and buggies\, Clement and Henry Studebaker\, blacksmiths by trade\, built covered wagons that helped settle the American West. Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company produced their first electric car in 1902 and by 1904 switched over to gasoline. By the 1920’s Studebaker was a top-shelf car company. Never the size of The Big Three\, Studebaker\, like other smaller car companies struggled financially. The exhibition covers the early years starting with a 1927 President Limo and ending with a 1963 Avanti.
