Join us on July 15, 2025, for the opening of our newest temporary exhibit, Small Block Muscle.

Chevrolet’s mid-1950s small block V8 engine was a game changer. Nicknamed Mighty Mouse, it was the first of the small block muscle engines to hit the market. A lighter engine, mated with performance enhancers and a light weight frame, produces a car that is more responsive and fun to drive than a big-block car. These cars will never have the raw power and speed of their counterparts but not every driver is looking for heart-stopping driving adventure. Small-block cars are perfect for those who prefer handling and acceleration, and maybe fewer speeding tickets.

The exhibit will be on display on July 15 – November 9, 2025.
