Savoy Automobile Museum has one (1) position opening for Full-Time Café Staff with an immediate start date.
SUMMARY: Café Staff prepare and serve food in the Savoy Café, two Private Dining Rooms, and at Special Events, providing a unique and welcoming environment, great food, and exceptional customer service. The Staff performs kitchen activities to include food preparation based on Savoy ingredient guidelines, delivering quality timely food, and managing the pantry, inventory, cooking, and cleaning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Ensuring that all food items and products are stored, prepared, and served based on the Savoy’s recipe, preparation, and portion standards.
• Assisting int the ordering kitchen materials and ingredients based on the menu and market demand.
• Maintaining clean work environments and making sure that employees follow the Café’s preventive maintenance measures.
• Maintaining adequate inventory levels and conducting weekly inventories.
• Working with the Food and Beverage Manager to create menu items, pricing, and establishing portion sizes for each menu offering.
• Operating Point of Sale (POS) System – Operating cash register, performing opening procedures, and preparing closing reports and daily deposits.
• Keeping current on all food safety guidelines, to insure public safety and excellent Georgia Department of Health inspection scores.
• Understanding alcohol service guidelines and ensuring they are followed.
• Assisting in the training of employees to ensure the safe operation of kitchen equipment and utensils and the proper handling of heavy items and hazardous materials.
• Projecting a warm, professional and friendly attitude toward guests and all staff.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• A High School Diploma or equivalent, a strong customer service background, and food experience are preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings.
• Position requires ability to read and comprehend information and ideals.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, reach, kneel, climb a stepstool, and stand for the majority of a full shift.
• Position requires manual dexterity to include chopping, slicing, keyboarding, money handling, etc.
• Must be able to immerse hands in water and use various cleaning supplies.
• Must be able to handle all ingredients used in food preparation.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS:
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to pass Servsafe Certification test, TIPS Alcohol Certification requirements, and obtain a Pouring License.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Café/kitchen environment. Position has a varying schedule and will include some weekend and evening shifts. Noise level is usually moderate to high.

SUMMARY: Staff prepare and serve food in the Savoy Café, two Private Dining Rooms, and at Special Events, providing a unique and welcoming environment, great food, and exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Preparing and serving food and beverages based on the Savoy’s recipe, preparation and portion guidelines.
• Maintaining a clean atmosphere in the kitchen and in all food service areas by following all requirements and regulations of current health standards.
• Keeping current on all food safety guidelines to ensuring public safety and excellent health inspection scores.
• Understanding alcohol service guidelines and ensuring they are followed.
• Operating Point of Sale (POS) System – Operating cash register, performing opening procedures, and preparing closing reports and daily deposits as assigned.
• Maintaining, stocking and organizing food, beverage and condiment items as needed.
• Assisting other staff in setting up and preparing for catering and other special events.
• Projecting a warm, professional and friendly attitude toward guests and all staff.
• Performing other tasks and projects as requested by supervisor.
