Legend has it that woodies are in need of restoration from the moment they are born. This 1946 Mercury appears to be an exception to the cliche. It was found and acquired in Zebulon, NC and was fully restored with Savoy Museum purchased it. In my short time with the car I could see exactly zero flaws on it anywhere. The dark metallic green pairs with the wood to be a perfect color combination. The interior looks as new as the rest of the car. It’s a time capsule – even the tires are period correct wide white wall bias ply.
