Savoy Automobile Museum in Cartersville presents its newest temporary exhibit, “Evolution of Bigfoot.” The original Bigfoot began as a 1974 Ford F-250 pickup that was modified by its owner, Bob Chandler, beginning in 1975. In 1979, Chandler replaced the under assembly of the truck with one from a military-surplus top loader featuring four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering that used 48-inch (120 cm) tires. This exhibit explores the evolution of the phenomenon that is Bigfoot featuring Bigfoot #1 (1975; the original monster truck), Bigfoot #8 “First CAD-designed Monster Truck,” and Bigfoot #20 “First and only electric Monster Truck.” In addition, the 1987 Ford Bigfoot Cruiser F-250 4×4, Bigfoot Blue. This exhibition will be on display through Feb. 4, 2024.
