The Savoy Automobile Museum continues its eclectic exploration of automotive themes, with its new exhibition on Movie cars. However, there is no spectacular car like the Ghostbusters ambulance or a more or less faithful reproduction of the Dodge Charger “General Lee”. The originality of the exhibition is to present more classic, but authentic cars, which have actually been used in the films. For each car, a large panel presents the model and the film in which it was seen.

Among the tenth or so cars on display are the Morgan Plus Four from “The Wars of the Roses,” fully restored after filming, the Chevrolet Impala Sports Coupe seen in George Lucas’ “American Graffiti,” and the 1949 Buick Roadmaster Cabriolet from “Rain Man,” the car on display being the only one that was actually driven by Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman. Also worth mentioning is the 1925 Chevrolet Superior Roadster from Martin Scorsese’s recent film “Killers of the Flower Moon” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.
