Chevrolet’s 1973 Rounded Line trucks transformed the American pickup industry. Not only did the trucks get a cosmetic refresh, but Chevrolet focused on drivability and operator comfort. These changes helped pave the way for the pickup’s transformation into a more passenger-car-like vehicle. The improved suspension produced a smoother ride and better steering. The cab offered a car-like feel with optional comfort equipment, upgraded trim packages, and improved ergonomics.

This truck has been restored and repainted; however, it does show signs of gentle use. It has a period-correct, big-block 454 engine and automatic transmission. Upgrades include power windows, steering, and brakes, air conditioning, and a custom cloth interior with “shaved” door handles. The wood truck bed is beautifully finished. Although not in top-tier show condition, it has strong curb appeal. And the Chevrolet Step Side, Short Bed pickup’s low production numbers make these trucks a favorite among collectors.
