Lincoln’s MKS model appeared in 2008 as a 2009 luxury sedan. Built on the Ford Taurus platform, the MKS’s fit and finish are distinct and in a class all their own. It seems Lincoln’s design staff took note of the BMW 5 Series and incorporated that look and feel into the MKS. The Eco Boost V-6 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission, paired with a finely tuned suspension system and all-wheel drive, give the MKS a sporty ride.
Interior features include sumptuous leather seating. Driver and front passenger seats are heated and air-conditioned; rear seats are heated. A fully adjustable steering wheel has built-in controls for audio, telematics, and cruise control. Push down on either wheel-mounted dual shift paddle to downshift; pull up to upshift. The optional George Lucas THX sound system rivals any home theater, and Microsoft’s SYNC Bluetooth-compatible system provides voice control for navigation and other services.
