In 2014, Nissan’s all electric car, the Leaf, entered its fourth year of production at the United States at Nissan’s Smyrna, TN plant. Nissan engineers worked hard to give owners a fun, very quiet driving experience. In addition, the benefit of home charging and lower operating costs, made the Leaf a viable option for environmentally conscious drivers. Apparently they succeeded; 2014 saw an annual record set for Leaf sales.
This car’s amenities include a 7” touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, rearview camera, navigation system, and air conditioning. Safety is of paramount importance. The Leaf has six airbags, antilock brakes, traction and stability controls, tire pressure monitoring system and the LATCH system to secure child safety seats.
