We are excited to announce our next temporary exhibit, Small Block Muscle, which opens on July 15, 2025, and runs through Nov 9, 2025.
Small-block V8 engines played a significant role in shaping the golden era of American performance vehicles, especially during the 1960s and early 1970s. These compact yet powerful engines delivered impressive performance while maintaining a lighter weight, which improved overall handling and balance.
Small-block muscle cars were part of the early wave of highly desirable performance vehicles that combined aggressive styling with speed, agility, and affordability. Their influence helped define the emerging muscle car culture, making them legends on both the street and the drag strip.
