Chevrolet introduced the El Camino in 1959. It was dubbed “more than a car – more than a truck.” This El Camino is a body-off restoration with a period-correct engine, and options, which include air conditioning, power brakes, and power steering. The exterior boasts fender skirts, steel wheels, hubcaps, and vintage whitewall tires. The beauty and accuracy of the exterior are only a teaser to the interior that accentuates the timeless classic design cues of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

The interior’s black bucket seats sit low and sunken to the floor so the driver can easily eye the factory gauges situated below the dash. Other interior features include the crank and vent window, the 1959 cross-flag steering wheel, a factory-styled knobbed radio, and of course, the factory “three-on-the-tree” column shift.

Today this vehicle is part of the Savoy Collection.
