Taking a look at the front, this 1960 Biscayne grille sports a cleaner design with an oval centerpiece prominently displaying Chevrolet’s bowtie logo. The grille also encompasses a set of dual headlights on each side. Capitalizing on the aeronautical themes popular in the era, the Biscayne had missile-inspired side trim. The subdued curved horizontal rear fins were gone and replaced with the distinctive bat-wing design. Two small circular tail lights are now nestled under the wings on both sides of the car.

The Biscayne, named after the Biscayne Bay in Miami, FL, offered many options as standard equipment. Formerly classified as deluxe-type items, dual sun visors, electric wipers, a cigarette lighter, and front armrests were included on Biscaynes at no extra charge. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Chevrolet offered a lower-priced version of the Biscayne called the Biscayne Fleetmaster. Ironically, Fleetmaster once graced Chevrolet’s most prestigious cars, now indicating their sub-lowest series. This car was upgraded in 1961 with a 348 cu. in. engine.
