New Exhibit Opening – Downhill Thrill: Soap Box Derby World Champions

November 10 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

In 1933, the Dayton Daily News photographed boys racing cars built from soap crates. In 1934, they sponsored the first Soap Box Derby, drawing 40,000 spectators. The Derby has grown into an international competition for kids racing gravity-fueled cars. This exhibit highlights past winners of the “Greatest Amateur Racing Event in the World®”.
