On Friday, August 16, 2024, we will convoy from Savoy Automobile Museum, break for lunch at Pelican Pete’s Tiki Bar & Grill on Lake Lanier, and end at Miles Through Time Automotive Museum. Enjoy a day full of fun, food, and fellowship with a scenic drive, delicious meal, and exclusive insights from Sean Mathis, founder of Miles Through Time. Car culture celebrity VIP guest Sam Mahdavi of “Sam’s Garage” and “Lokar Car Show” on MotorTrend TV will also participate!

The drive is limited to the first 40 vehicles to register, and as members, you have the exclusive opportunity to secure a spot!

In addition, you’ll have time to visit and shop Vintage Garage Antiques Market, which serves as the gateway to Miles Through Time Automotive Museum. With over 100 vendors, they have a little something for everyone.

Join us as gather in the Savoy Theatre for a special showing of “Elvis” (2022).

The life of American music icon Elvis Presley, from his childhood to becoming a rock and movie star in the 1950s while maintaining a complex relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker.

Rating: PG-13

Please no food or drink in the theatre. Seating is available on a first come first served basis.

Admission to the museum includes complimentary admission to the movie. When you arrive at the museum, be sure to request a movie ticket at the front desk. Limited Seating. Tickets required.

Open Class Show

The Connection car show, an open class event, serves as a platform, to unite a diverse community of car enthusiasts and intrigued spectators. An array of cars from different makes, models, and eras ignites an atmosphere of shared passion and appreciation. As engines rev and paint glimmers under the sun’s embrace, the show not only showcases the evolution of automotive design and engineering but also fosters a sense of camaraderie that transcends time and brand loyalties. The Connection car show is more than a display of wheels and chrome; it’s an event that celebrates the artistry, history, and innovation that define the world of automobiles. All vehicles must be pre-registered. VEHICLE REGISTRATION IS SOLD OUT!!!

Times:
8:00 am – The Showgrounds and museum open.
11:00 am – The Savoy Cafe opens for lunch.
11:00 am – All registered vehicles must be on the showgrounds.
2:00 pm – Voting and raffle ends.
3:00 pm – The car show ends and Awards Ceremony begins.
3:00 pm – The raffle winner is announced.
3:30 pm – The Showgrounds closes.
5:00 pm – The museum closes.

General Admission – $17 at the gate or $15 online
Youth (Ages 3 – 12) – $7 at the gate or $5 online
Children (Ages 2 and under) – Complimentary
Active Military – Complimentary – We are proud to be a Blue Star Museum. This program provides free museum admission to active-duty military personnel and their immediate families. The Blue Star Museum program begins on Armed Forces Day (May 18, 2024) and continues each year through Labor Day (Monday, September 2, 2024). It includes Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and National Guard Reserves. Blue Star Family members must show their Geneva Convention Common Access Card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID (dependent), or DD1173-1 identification card.

Open Classification Car Show – Explore the showgrounds and enjoy all there is to see and vote for your favorite vehicle

Awards – Participants will have the opportunity to compete for awards! A Savoy’s Choice Award is presented on behalf of the staff and volunteers of Savoy. In addition, multiple People’s Choice Awards will be presented.

The awards ceremony will take place at 3:00 pm. The vehicle owner must be present to win.

All vehicles must be pre-registered to participate in the show.

Calling all young car enthusiasts! Kids aged 12 and under are invited to dive into the excitement of Vroomville. It’s a dedicated area designed just for them. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.

ACME Build a Model Car – Children’s “Make & Take” supplied by Atlanta Car Model Enthusiasts (ACME)

As part of this year’s show, ACME will include a “Make & Take” event for children 12 and under and accompanied by an adult at no cost! ACME strives to introduce children to the model car hobby by providing an opportunity for parents and children to interact in a “hands-on” activity, resulting in the child having a snap-together model they can proudly display and/or play with.

Inflatables – Kids will have the opportunity to try out these fun inflatables.

Cut-Outs – Take a photo with one of our fun cut-outs.

Lunch will begin at 10:00 am in the Savoy Café.

Adult Beverages – Adult beverages will be available at the beverage tent and at the Savoy Café.

Non-alcoholic Beverages – Non-alcoholic drinks are available in the Savoy Café, at the food trucks, and at the beverage tent.

Raffle tickets for a 50/50 raffle will be available to purchase at the event. The tickets will be priced at 1 ticket for a $1, 6 tickets for $5, 12 tickets for $10, and 25 tickets for $20. You must be 18 years or older to purchase raffle tickets.

The drawing will be at 3:00 pm. You must be present to win.

Our outdoor pop-up store at the guest services (information) tent will feature our commemorative t-shirt (limited number). Other merchandise including apparel, drinkware, and car-themed gifts will be available at the Savoy Store, inside the museum.
