Vehicle Registration –

Registration is limited to the first 300 cars/trucks. All vehicles must be registered prior to the show.

Pre-registration for members opens on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, and extends through Friday, September 22, 2023. Registration for the general public begins on Saturday, September 23, 2023, and closes on Friday, November 3, 2023, or until registration is full.

Registration corresponds to each membership level.

Legacy Members – Complimentary – Includes general admission tickets to the museum for two cardholders, up to 4 youths, and two guests.

Individual Membership – $5 – Includes one general admission for the named cardholder.

Individual Plus One Membership – $5 – Includes general admission for two named cardholders or the named cardholder and one guest.

Family Membership – $5 – Includes general admission for two named cardholders and up to 4 youths.

Friend Membership– $5 – Includes general admission for two named cardholders, up to 4 youths, and two guests.

Patron Membership – $5 – Includes general admission for two named cardholders, up to 4 youths, and two guests.

General Public – $25 – Allows one vehicle registration. Includes one general admission per vehicle.

Additional general admission tickets are available to purchase.

All sales are final. No vehicle registration refunds will be issued unless the show is canceled on both the original date and the rain date. Please contact the front desk in the event of a double cancellation by calling 770.416.1500 or emailing guestservices@savoymuseum.org.

Spectator tickets

Admission to the museum includes admission to The Connection car show. Tickets are available online prior to the event or at the entrance the day of the event.

8:00 am
– The Showgrounds and Savoy Cafe opens.
10:00 am – The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration begins.
11:00 am – The Savoy Cafe opens for lunch.
11:00 am – All registered vehicles must be on the showgrounds.
3:00 pm – The car show ends and Awards Ceremony begins.
3:00 pm – The raffle winner is announced.
3:30 pm – The Showgrounds closes.
5:00 pm – The museum closes.

Veteran’s Day Acknowledgement

The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration

Veterans who served at any time on active duty in the US Armed Forces. regardless of location, during the period of November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, are invited to be recognized and receive one Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin. For a qualifying deceased veteran, a family member is invited to receive a Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin. The accepting family member will receive complimentary admission to the museum. To participate as a veteran or a family member, you must register for an online ticket. Register here. Additional attending families must obtain an admission ticket through spectator admission.

This event will begin at 10:00 am on Veteran’s Day even if the car show is cancelled due to weather. Seating will be available on a first come first served basis.

United States Flag Lapel Pin

Veterans are invited to stop by the Information Tent to receive a complimentary United States flag lapel pin, while supplies last.

Past Military Vehicle Display

Several past military vehicles will be on display on the showgrounds for visitors to see.

Museum Exhibits

Step inside the museum and enjoy five remarkable exhibitions:

  • Evolution of Bigfoot An evolution exhibition featuring Bigfoot #1 (1975; the original monster truck), Bigfoot #8 (1989; first AutoCAD designed monster truck), and Bigfoot #20 (2012; first electric monster truck).
  • Forged by Fuller Bryan Fuller is a master builder, designer, TV personality, author, and owner of Fuller Moto. This retrospective exhibition showcases 20 years’ worth of Bryan’s unique custom car and motorcycle builds.
  • Renderings – Advanced drawings of GM designer Wayne Kady Wayne Kady began his career as an automobile designer in 1961 and spent 38 years designing for Cadillac and Buick before retiring in 1999. This exhibit showcases the renderings, artwork, and cars of GM Designer Wayne Kady.
  • Streamlined Elegance – The Tatra Tale A collaborative exhibit with Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, TN, showcasing the storied marque of Tatra – a Czech vehicle manufacturer founded in 1850.
  • Savoy Collection Savoy Automobile Museum invites you to the Savoy Collection gallery to see of the vehicles from the permanent collection. Since its inception, Savoy has received gifted automobiles to be part of the museum’s permanent collection. Preview some of the most iconic vehicles that have been added to the museum’s permanent collection.

Remember, when at the museum to also take a moment to appreciate a remarkable collection of 30 specially curated original works of art. These beautiful pieces can be found adorning our galleries and enhancing the ambiance of our delightful Cafe.

The museum will be open from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Showgrounds

Open Class Show

The Connection car show, an open class event, serves as a platform, to unite a diverse community of car enthusiasts and intrigued spectators. An array of cars from different makes, models, and eras ignites an atmosphere of shared passion and appreciation. As engines rev and paint glimmers under the sun’s embrace, the show not only showcases the evolution of automotive design and engineering but also fosters a sense of camaraderie that transcends time and brand loyalties. The Connection car show is more than a display of wheels and chrome; it’s an event that celebrates the artistry, history, and innovation that define the world of automobiles.

10 Awards – NEW!

Participants will have the opportunity to compete for 10 awards! Spectators will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite vehicles in three areas…trucks, pre-1950 cars, and 1950 to present cars. The top three vehicles in each group will receive a People’s Choice Award (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place). Then, one owner will be awarded the Savoy Choice Award, voted on by Savoy staff and volunteers.

The awards ceremony will take place at 3:00 pm. Vehicle owner must be present to win.

Kids Activities

Vroomville – The Kid’s Car Adventure Zone – NEW!
For kids 12 years of age and under. Kids must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Kiddie Kruise – Hey there future gearheads! If you’ve got a cool ride that’s powered by your imagination, it’s time to show it off in your very own mini car show. Bring your PowerWheels, Big Wheels, Hot Wheels, or pedal car and show it off! Let’s see those wheels spin and those smiles light up as we gather to celebrate your awesome driving dreams! (All children’s riding vehicles must remain withing the Vroomville city limits (gated area). They are not permitted near the show cars.

ACME Build a Model Car – Children’s “Make & Take” supplied by Atlanta Car Model Enthusiasts (ACME)
As part of this year’s show, ACME will include a “Make & Take” event for children 12 and under and accompanied by an adult at no cost! ACME strives to introduce children to the model car hobby by providing an opportunity for parents and children to interact in a “hands-on” activity, resulting in the child having a snap-together model they can proudly display and/or play with.

Monster Truck Bounce and Slide and Inflatable Obstacle Course – Kids will have the opportunity to try out these fun inflatables.

Touch a Truck – Kids can touch a truck.

Vroomville will be open from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Food and Beverages

The Savoy Café will open at 7:00 am for anyone wishing to purchase breakfast. The doors will close at 10:30 am for lunch preparation.

Lunch will begin at 11:00 am in the Savoy Café. A $10 hot or cold lunch special will be available. The hot options include Southwest Chicken Nachos, London Broil Mushroom & Onion Cheesesteaks, Buffalo and Kickin Bourbon Wings, or a ¼ Pound Cheeseburger. The cold option includes Classic Chicken Salad Sandwich, Roast Beef and Cheddar Sandwich, or a Grilled Chicken House Salad. Each is served with chips, cookie, and a specified drink.

Adult beverages will be available at the guest services (information) tent and at the Savoy Café.

Non-alcoholic Beverages

Non-alcoholic drinks are available in the Savoy Café, at the food trucks, and at the guest services tent.

Raffle

Raffle tickets for a 50/50 raffle will be available to purchase at the event. The tickets will be priced at 1 ticket for a $1, 6 tickets for $5, 12 tickets for $10, and 25 tickets for $20. You must be 18 years or older to purchase raffle tickets.

The drawing will be at 3:00 pm. You must be present to win.

Pop-Up Store

Our outdoor pop-up store at the guest services (information) tent will feature our commemorative t-shirt (limited number). Other merchandise including apparel, drinkware, and car-themed gifts will be available at the Savoy Store, inside the museum.

Frequently Asked Questions

All sales are final.

Spectator Tickets – If the show is cancelled on November 11, your ticket is valid for the the rain date of November 18. If the show is cancelled for the rain date or you cannot make the rain date, your ticket is valid for regular admission on another day. Please contact the front desk for assistance at 470.416.1500.

Vehicle Registration – If the show is cancelled, your vehicle registration rolls to the rain date. If the show is cancelled for the rain date, you can contact the museum to request a refund.

Only service animals are permitted on the Showgrounds and inside the museum.

Outside food is allowed on the showgrounds, but not inside the museum. Alcoholic beverages cannot be brought onto the property.
