Once again behind its competitors, Ford played catch-up in 1941 by releasing its biggest car to date. Longer, lower, wider, flashier, and heavier, the ’41 Fords were widely accepted. Ford News declared, “Probably the most outstanding advancement in this year’s car is improved riding, made possible by several factors including a wheelbase increased to 114 inches.” A wider front seat was accommodated by doors that covered almost all of the running board, leaving only a narrow strip visible.

Styling was impeccable. A pair of low-riding scoop grilles flanked the front vertical center grille.
According to the owner’s manual, “You don’t have to ‘Break-in’ the Ford V-8…The car can be driven up to sixty miles an hour right from the start and after the first one hundred miles, it can be driven as fast as desired.” This car is a survivor due to the exceptional care it received. It has all original parts exterior and interior and only 38,177 miles on the odometer.
