The Nash Statesman enjoyed a successful seven-year production run as a symbol of post-war, forward- thinking design and innovation. The car was the perfect blend of technological advancements, driver and passenger comfort, and a price that was easy on the wallet. With only a few minor modifications, the 1954 Statesman’s sleek, clean styling mirrored the 1952-1953 Golden Anniversary model. The newly designed front concave grille and chrome headlight bezels gave the car a fresh new face.

The Statesman wasn’t just good-looking. The unitized body system gave the car greater rigidity and a more lasting structure than traditional body on frame construction. Throughout its lifetime, the Statesman kept pace with the ever-changing demands of consumers. New for Nash that year was the April 22nd merger with Hudson which formed the American Motors Corp. Company president George Mason hopes to bring Packard and Studebaker into the fold, never materialized.
