Debuting in 1965, the Oldsmobile Toronado took the luxury car market by storm and became a design and engineering icon. The first practical, domestic, and full-size front-wheel-drive car since the 1936 Cord, the Toronado continued the sleek, futuristic styling of its earlier predecessor. GM let that design slip through their hands, but they wouldn’t make the same mistake twice! Only subtle improvements were made to the car’s already classic profile. Just a nip and tuck, a major facelift wasn’t needed.

This low-mileage original survivor has lived a pampered life. The car’s first owner claims it only got wet three times. In a test drive on snow, the car handled perfectly. Afterwards it was jacked up and the chassis wiped dry. Driving home from being inspected the car got caught in a drizzle. The first time, however, was when the owner had his priest sprinkle it with holy water to bless it. Looks like that worked!
