In 1987, the IROC Z-28 received a new engine performance option package that included an increase in engine size from 305 cubic inches to 350 cubic inches, roller rockers, and tuned port fuel injection. The only transmission available with the new engine was the 4-speed overdrive automatic. This Camaro is a lower-mileage (16,100 miles), one-owner survivor.
A plethora of high-performance suspension modifications were also added to the IROC-Z28: increased spring rates, special front struts, five degrees more caster on the front wheel alignment, a front frame rail stiffener, rear Delco-Bilstein gas shocks, a larger rear stabilizer bar with stiffer bushings, an improved steering box, and a .50-inch lower ride height.
