New Temporary Exhibit Opening – Harvest to Highway

Savoy Automobile Museum 3 Savoy Lane, Cartersville, GA, United States

Join us on June 3, 2025, for the opening of our newest temporary exhibit, Harvest to Highway. Car makers here, and abroad, found fertile ground in the production of equipment for farmers. This exhibition presents both sides of a manufacturer’s product lines for both highway and farmland traffic. The exhibit will be on display on June 3, 2025 - September 28, 2025.

New Temporary Exhibit Opening – Small Block Muscle

Savoy Automobile Museum 3 Savoy Lane, Cartersville, GA, United States

Nicknamed Mighty Mouse, it was the first of the small block muscle engines to hit the market. A lighter engine, mated with performance enhancers and a light weight frame, produces a car that is more responsive and fun to drive than a big-block car. These cars will never have the raw power and speed of their counterparts but [...]

New Exhibit Opening – It’s a Duzy

Savoy Automobile Museum 3 Savoy Lane, Cartersville, GA, United States

Join us on August 5, 2025, for the opening of our newest temporary exhibit, It's a Duzy. In the early days of car travel, one name stood out for quality and opulence – Duesenberg. Frederick and August Duesenberg were destined to make a mark not only on the race track but also in the passenger car venue. It was success at the Indianapolis 500 that persuaded the brothers to build their own line of cars. Like other small car companies, finances were a struggle. The [...]

The first run was in 1933 with Baker’s 53.5 hour drive from New York to LA. In 1971, to protest the new 55 MPH speed limit, Brock Yates and others revived the Cannon Ball Run to break the [...]

New Exhibit Opening – Shelby

Savoy Automobile Museum 3 Savoy Lane, Cartersville, GA, United States

As a race car driver, his win at the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans was the pinnacle of his racing career. A heart condition forced him to retire in 1960. Shelby dreamed of building a car combining the reliability of an American made engine and the handling and balance of European cars. A deal with Ford Motor Co. [...]

New Exhibit Opening – Ferrari in America

Savoy Automobile Museum 3 Savoy Lane, Cartersville, GA, United States

Join us on December 9, 2025, for the opening of our newest temporary exhibit, Ferrari in America. When some folks hear the name Ferrari, they think of Italy. However, the brand has been a favorite in America for decades. Since Luigi Chinetti imported a 166 Ferrari Spider Corsa in 1954, Americans have loved these masterpieces of automotive craftsmanship. Working as a test driver for Alfa Romeo, Enzo Ferrari used Scuderia Ferrari as an experimental lab for his ideas and innovations. When the two parted ways, [...]
