Car Show on the Showgrounds

Open Class Show

The Connection car show, an open class event, serves as a platform, to unite a diverse community of car enthusiasts and intrigued spectators. An array of cars from different makes, models, and eras ignites an atmosphere of shared passion and appreciation. As engines rev and paint glimmers under the sun’s embrace, the show not only showcases the evolution of automotive design and engineering but also fosters a sense of camaraderie that transcends time and brand loyalties. The Connection car show is more than a display of wheels and chrome; it’s an event that celebrates the artistry, history, and innovation that define the world of automobiles.

SHOW CAR REGISTRATION

Included with registration:

Registration corresponds to each membership level. Registration for members will begin on July 1, 2025, and run through July 14, 2025. July 15, 2025, registration will open to the general public. The deadline for registering a show vehicle is August 22, 2025.

  • Legacy Members – Complimentary – Includes general admission tickets to the museum for two cardholders, up to 4 youths, and two guests.
  • Individual Membership – $10 – Includes one general admission for the named cardholder.
  • Individual Plus One Membership – $10 – Includes general admission for two named cardholders or the named cardholder and one guest.
  • Family Membership – $10 – Includes general admission for two named cardholders and up to 4 youths.
  • Friend Membership– $10 – Includes general admission for two named cardholders, up to 4 youths, and two guests.
  • Patron Membership – $10 – Includes general admission for two named cardholders, up to 4 youths, and two guests.
  • General Public – $25 – Allows one vehicle registration. Includes one general admission per vehicle.

Additional general admission tickets are available to purchase.

Registration Dates:

July 1 – July 14, 2025 – Preregistration for members
July 15, 2025 – Registration opens to the general public.
August 22, 2025 – Registration will close on this date or when all spots are sold.

Sam Mahdavi, host of Lokar Car Show, will be back for the show again in 2025 and will be filming an upcoming episode.

Awards

Registrants are eligible to win one of nineteen People’s Choice Awards, selected by spectators and registrants, and The Savoy’s Choice Award, selected by museum staff and volunteers. In addition, this year Sam Mahdavi will select one vehicle to win an award. Judging for The Savoy Choice Award begins at 11:00 am. The awards ceremony will be held at 3:00 pm. You must be present to win.

All sales are final. This is a rain or shine event.

Spectator Tickets

The Connection car show. Tickets are available online prior to the event or at the entrance the day of the event.

Times:
9:00 am
– The Showgrounds and museum open.

11:00 am – The Savoy Cafe opens for lunch.
11:00 am – All registered vehicles must be on the showgrounds.
2:00 pm – Voting and raffle ends.
3:00 pm – The car show ends and Awards Ceremony begins.
3:00 pm – The raffle winner is announced.
3:30 pm – The Showgrounds closes.
5:00 pm – The museum closes.

Spectator Tickets:

Members – Complimentary
General Admission – $17 at the gate or $15 online
Youth (Ages 3 – 12) – $7 at the gate or $5 online
Children (Ages 2 and under) Complimentary
Active Military – Complimentary

Museum Exhibits

Step inside the museum and enjoy five remarkable exhibitions:

Remember, when at the museum to also take a moment to appreciate a remarkable collection of 30 specially curated original works of art. These beautiful pieces can be found adorning our galleries and enhancing the ambiance of our delightful Cafe.

The museum will be open from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Showgrounds

Open Classification Car Show – Explore the showgrounds and enjoy all there is to see and vote for your favorite vehicle

Awards – Participants will have the opportunity to compete for awards! A Savoy’s Choice Award is presented on behalf of the staff and volunteers of Savoy. In addition, multiple People’s Choice Awards will be presented.

The awards ceremony will take place at 3:00 pm. The vehicle owner must be present to win.

All vehicles must be pre-registered to participate in the show.

Kids Activities

Calling all young car enthusiasts! Kids aged 12 and under are invited to dive into the excitement of Vroomville. It’s a dedicated area designed just for them. Kids must be accompanied by an adult.

ACME Build a Model Car – Children’s “Make & Take” supplied by Atlanta Car Model Enthusiasts (ACME)

Back again this year, ACME will include a “Make & Take” event for children 12 and under and accompanied by an adult at no cost! ACME strives to introduce children to the model car hobby by providing an opportunity for parents and children to interact in a “hands-on” activity, resulting in the child having a snap-together model they can proudly display and/or play with.

Inflatable – Kids will have the opportunity to try out a fun inflatable.

Cut-Outs – Take a photo with one of our fun cut-outs.

Food and Beverages

Lunch will begin at 10:00 am in the Savoy Café.

Adult Beverages – Adult beverages will be available at the beverage tent and at the Savoy Café.

Non-alcoholic Beverages – Non-alcoholic drinks are available in the Savoy Café, at the food trucks, and at the beverage tent.

Food Trucks – To offer a variety of dining options, food trucks will be on-site. If you are a food truck operator and would like to apply to be a part of this event, please click here for more information.

Raffle

Raffle tickets for a 50/50 raffle will be available to purchase at the event. The tickets will be priced at 1 ticket for a $1, 6 tickets for $5, 12 tickets for $10, and 25 tickets for $20. You must be 18 years or older to purchase raffle tickets.

The drawing will be at 3:00 pm. You must be present to win.

Pop-Up Store

Our outdoor pop-up store at the guest services (information) tent will feature our commemorative t-shirt (limited number). Other merchandise including apparel, drinkware, and car-themed gifts will be available at the Savoy Store, inside the museum.

Only service animals are permitted on the Showgrounds and inside the museum.

Outside food is allowed on the showgrounds, but not inside the museum. Alcoholic beverages cannot be brought onto the property.
